Glass may not be the first thing you will think of when you're talking about 2D art. Linda Billet jokingly says that she uses so much texture and dimension in her glass work that she can call it two and a half dimensions. She creates tiles with bubbles and floating dots, stripes and hovering flowers. When talking to people about her work, she has found that they have a hard time understanding what she does. So she has created a few stop motion videos to show you some of the processes that she uses. This mosaic, "annual pineapple," is linked one of the videos.
It's not often that you see someone have so much fun with sheets of stained glass.
"annual pineapple" (36 x 20 inches) will be one of her three works that are included in the Bound By F exhibit.
